One way to support students with special needs is uncover their strengths. This course offers participants an opportunity to learn 1) who the SPED students are in your classroom and school, 2) how to find out their strengths, and 3) how to use mindfulness and SEL strategies to minimize stress in the classroom for SPED students. The course final will include practical applications of the ideas with students in your school or classroom.
The content is self-paced and delivered in a .pdf document which includes videos, readings, and reflections. An online mentor communicates with each course participant by phone at the beginning of the course to confirm the timeline for course completion and to answer any questions. The online mentor also reads and responds to all reflections at the end of the course.
